International Renewables Group (IRG)
is building a leadership position in renewable energy. IRG is an
owner and operator of renewable fuel & power operations. We capitalize on the fastest-growing
renewable segments of the energy marketplace. IRG was formed to
assemble and manage a portfolio of a broad range of direct and
indirect interests in renewable energy projects. IRG addresses an
opportunity in the renewable energy market that neither traditional
private equity nor venture capital investors currently address. IRG
believes that its unique skill sets, including management with deep
energy backgrounds, will enable it to achieve better operating and
financial results than its competitors.
IRG believes that, due to price, policy and risk advantages, the fastest growing segments are and will
remain renewable power and clean fuels. Within the renewable energy
industry, IRG is focusing on growth areas in which it anticipates
finding attractive investment opportunities. These areas include
renewable energy production (primarily biomass and biogas), clean
fuels (primarily bio-diesel) and various rapidly changing technologies (e.g.
solar - see our Solar Program).
- Within Biomass, IRG focuses on Biomass Direct Combustion,
Biomass Combined Heat & Power, Biomass Co-fired with existing
fossil-fuel Combustion, and Biomass Gasification.
- Within Biogas, IRG focuses on Landfill Gas (Methane),
Sewage Gas (Methane), Manure Digestion (Methane), Other biogas
digestion using agriculture or food processing residues and by
products.
- Within Bio-fuels, IRG focuses on Bio-diesel and cellulosic
derived fuels
(i.e.: switch grass.)
IRG is working to develop significant holdings in selected
verticals over time where reasonably well established technologies
can be employed. From a strategic value perspective, IRG believes a
portfolio approach will be a key component to building scale and
long term value creation. Renewable energy financings require a
strong understanding of project equity, senior and subordinated debt
structures, regulatory compliance, fuel and resource supply and power purchase
and off-take agreements. One

build off balance sheet options that require no up front
